Department Description
The Physical Services Department is responsible for providing mechanical and custodial maintenance for all Town infrastructures, including buildings, grounds and roads, and for providing support to all Town operating agencies, especially Parks and Recreation Department.
It is responsible for the care and upkeep of all Town roads, buildings, parks and recreational facilities, the collection of white goods, the delivery of hospital beds and ambulatory equipment, the planting, trimming and removal of all public shade trees, the installation and repair of all traffic control and street name signs, and the management of the Town's refuse collection and recycling contract and the Town's Transfer/Recycling station.
In addition, it is responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of all of all Town owned vehicles and equipment, including police cars, fire apparatus, town trucks and fleet vehicles.
