Transportation

 

Transportation services for elderly persons and persons with disabilities are available through LogistiCare and the Greater Hartford Transit District. For additional information, call the Social & Youth Services Department at (860) 721-2977.

Bus service is provided by five routes of Connecticut Transit, 100 Leibert Road, Hartford, CT 06141. For information and schedules, call 522-8101.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation sponsors an informational web site, www.ctrides.com. It allows individuals to find information on public transportation such as CTTRANSIT bus routes, East Street® commuter vanpools, rail service, etc.

The town is served by three major highways: Interstate 91, Berlin Turnpike (Routes 5 and 15) and Silas Deane Highway (Rte. 99).

Hartford-Brainard Airport adjoins the northeast corner of the town. Phone 566-7037
