The electors of the Town of Wethersfield are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling places on the 8th day of November, 2011, for the following purposes:

1. To cast their votes for nine members of the Town Council and six members of the Board of Education.
2. To vote on the following referendum questions, pursuant to the Town Charter:
   1. "SHALL THE TOWN OF WETHERSFIELD APPROPRIATE $2,000,000 FOR COSTS WITH RESPECT TO IMPLEMENTING THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR 1000 SILAS DEANE HIGHWAY, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS AND NOTES IN THE SAME AMOUNT TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION?"
   2. "SHALL THE TOWN OF WETHERSFIELD APPROPRIATE $5,000,000 FOR COSTS WITH RESPECT TO IMPLEMENTING THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE BERLIN TURNPIKE/NOTT STREET PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS AND NOTES IN THE SAME AMOUNT TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION?"

A vote of "YES" is a vote for approval and a vote of "NO" is a vote for disapproval. The foregoing vote will be taken under the provisions of the C.G.S. Sections 9-226, 9-369, 9-369a and 9-369c and the Town Charter, Sec. 311. The full text of each Ordinance is on file and open for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk.

Notice is hereby given that the locations of the polling places are as follows:

The electors in District 3 vote in an adjacent district at Fuller Housing. The electors in District 9 vote in an adjacent district at the William J. Pitkin Community Center.

Electors may make application for absentee ballots at the Town Clerk's Office.

Absentee Ballots will be counted at a central location in Conference Room 1, lower level, Town Hall, 505 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT.

Tabulators will be used. The polls will be open at six o'clock in the morning (6:00 A.M.) and will remain open until eight o'clock in the evening (8:00 P.M.).

3. Amendment to Chapter 111, §111-1 A: Deletion of §111-1 A (6) and addition of §111-1 A (7) to delete Savage Park as dedicated parkland and to designate the YMCA property as dedicated parkland.
4. Amendment to Chapter 111, §111-1 A: Addition of §111-1 A (8) to designate the Wilkus Farm Open Space parcels as dedicated parkland.
5. Introduction of resolution authorizing the sale of Town Property: In accordance with Chapter 37 of the Town Code, a resolution to offer for sale the property known as Wilkus House and Barns.

Ordinance appropriating $5,000,000
Berlin Turnpike/Nott Street Project

1. Ordinance appropriating $5,000,000 for the costs with the respect to implementing the redevelopment plan for the Berlin Turnpike/Nott Street Project, and authorizing the issue of bonds and notes to finance the portion of such appropriation not defrayed from grants.

2. Properties located at the intersection of the Berlin Turnpike, Nott Street and Goff Road including 1652, 1676-1680, 1698 and 1730 Berlin Turnpike and property at 91 Goff Road as detailed in the Plan dated July 25, 2011.

Resolution concerning an application to the Capitol Region council of Governments to obtain STP-URBAN program funds, to make application for traditional roadway projects and non-traditional roadway projects in the Town of Wethersfield, CT.

At a regular meeting of the Wethersfield Town Council on August 1, 2011 the following resolutions were approved:

1. An ordinance establishing chapter 10, article 24 Public regulations of the Town of Wethersfield CT creating a Harbor Management Commission and designating the advisory Parks and Recreation Board as the Commission.
2. Authorization to accept and sign a contract for the annual grant from the State Department of education to support the Youth Services Department
3. Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to execute any and all documents for the Connecticut Department of emergency management and Homeland security and enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the State and the Capital Region Council of Governments
