Welcome Statement
Welcome to the Wethersfield Parks and Recreation Department official web site. Whether it's a quiet stroll on a nature trail at Wintergreen Woods, playing softball under the lights at Mill Woods Park or meeting at the Historic 1774 Solomon Welles House for a family outing, Wethersfield has something to offer for everyone. Wethersfield has 626.92 acres of parkland with unique areas such as Wintergreen Woods, Wethersfield Cove and the 1860 Reservoir (see Profiles) where open space, wooded areas and natural ponds make Wethersfield a beautiful and special place to live.
Our intent with this web site is to provide you with information about the various types of activities and facilities offered by the Parks & Recreation Department in the Town of Wethersfield. Last year over 350 programs were offered with 220,000 people attending our programs, classes and facilities. Our programs change as our residents needs and interests change. We encourage you to call us at 721-2890 with your comments, concerns, and questions regarding our programs and facilities. Our main office is located in the Town Hall at 505 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
